Sarah Humphrey - Class of 2024
Before Law School…
I am a non-traditional student, so I am coming into law school with a long and colorful CV. I received my Master’s degree in Art History from New York University, and worked in museums and arts journalism before opening my own art gallery. Most recently, I served for several years as Executive Director and Juniors Coach of a non-profit community rowing organization.
Why WVU Law?
My partner is a first-year student at WVU School of Medicine, and I fell in love with the College of Law program and facilities when we relocated from Pittsburgh last year. I feel so lucky to be a part of this incredible community!
Law Interest?
Because I have experienced such a diverse array of workplaces throughout my career, I have a strong interest in Labor and Employment policies and practices.
In 10 years…
I’m keeping an open mind about how to apply my degree, but I hope we are able to stay in West Virginia!
Outside of Law School…
I row with the Monongahela Rowing Association, run on the Rail Trail, and recently started taking diving lessons (platform and springboard, not SCUBA.) I have a little vegetable garden on my upstairs porch that I’m pretty proud of, and a very sweet black cat named Todd who likes to sun herself out there.
