BEFORE LAW SCHOOL …
I was living the beach bum/ski bum dream. I lived on a sailboat with my husband in Ocracoke, NC, while working in the service industry (in any and every capacity). In the off-season, I would travel and do things like teach English in Mexico or hang out in Colorado.
WHY WVU LAW?
First and foremost, I was ready to return home after some wonderful years of traveling and exploring. My entire family is here in Morgantown, so my support system is fantastic. And, along with being the best financial value for me, this particular law school seemed to be a bit kinder and gentler than some of the others I visited. The competition factor seemed to take a different shape here.
IN 10 YEARS …
I’ll probably be based out of WV and probably Morgantown. I love this place with all its intricacies. I hope to be working in the non-profit sector and hopefully with art in some way or another.
OUTSIDE OF LAW SCHOOL …
Baking, yoga, travel, wood crafts, appreciating graffiti art and murals around the world, photographing minutiae, that sort of thing.
