Kasey Farris

Program Coordinator, Academic Excellence Center

Responsibilities

Kasey Farris supports the work of the Academic Excellence Center in the areas of academic support; bar applications and bar passage; academic advising; writing skills; and assessment.  She attended law school at Southern Illinois University School of Law and during law school was employed in the school’s elder clinic, as a teaching assistant, and as a law clerk for a solo practitioner. Kasey is a licensed attorney in Illinois and Missouri.  After law school, she started at the Illinois Legislative Reference Bureau as a staff attorney and handled criminal, agricultural, and conservation legislation.  Subsequently, she moved to the Illinois Supreme Court Clerk’s Office to the position of assistant clerk.   As assistant clerk, she focused on new attorney admission to the bar and on attorney disciplinary cases. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and listening to audiobooks.  After many years in the Midwest, she is looking forward to exploring West Virginia!
