Favorite law school memory

My favorite law school memory is my final trial in Fall of 2018 with Justice Starcher and my trial partner Tony. That evening was such a great experience! An entire semester's worth of work and practice culminating in a civil trial for the end of the class. This final trial was special to me not only because I enjoyed the class so much, but also because I had my Dad and Aunt, as well as two friends, serve as our witnesses. Delivering the opening, conducting direct and cross examinations, and then listening to the jury deliberate, was an experience I will always carry with me.

Inspiration

I was inspired to go to law school by my family. While none of my immediate family are lawyers, a couple of them have always insisted since high school that I would make a good attorney. When I was nearing the end of my undergraduate engineering studies I started to take these suggestions seriously, and began exploring some law-related classes. I realized my skillset might be better suited to law than engineering and made the decision to take my family's suggestion and pursue a career as an attorney. Their suggestion and guidance was not misplaced, as I have truly enjoyed my law school experience and am looking forward to practicing as a lawyer very soon.

Special thanks

I would like to thank my family first for being so incredibly supportive of me over the past three years. I couldn't have made it through law school without their comfort, guidance, and push to succeed. Also, I would like to thank all the friends I've made since starting law school. You all made this ride enjoyable and fun, while still keeping each other focused and driven. Lastly, I'd like to thank all the professors I've had while at WVU Law. You all have inspired me to try and be the best attorney possible, and I cannot thank you enough for being such a great influence on my life.
