Favorite law school memory
TRANSforming Appalachia! During my 2L year, I was vice president for OUTlaw. We worked with the ACLU of WVU Law to plan TRANSforming Appalachia as a multidisciplinary panel on what it means to be transgender. It was super exciting to see how many people came out to learn more about the transgender community!
Inspiration
Professors Richelle Schrock and Constance Richards inspired me to go to law school. I double majored in Women & Gender Studies and Studio Art as an undergraduate at Ohio Wesleyan University. A lot of my Women & Gender Studies courses incorporated examples of law and inequality. I knew then that I wanted to be a lawyer and a law professor.
Special thanks
I want to thank my partner, Jaykob Truman, for supporting me all this time. I want to thank our daughter, Dany Truman, for helping me study by choosing my textbooks for story time. I'm sorry the Federal Rules of Evidence weren't more exciting.
