Inspiration
I was inspired to go to law school by my students. I worked as an English as a Second Language teacher for adult immigrant women prior to coming to law school. These women sacrificed everything to come to America and were often confused and disadvantaged by the legal system once they got here- everything from immigration to employment law to family law to medial rights. I wanted to take part in making that legal system better for those most vulnerable in our population.
Special thanks
I would like to thank my family first and foremost for supporting me throughout this process. I would like to thank my advisor Professor Lofaso for giving me a new prospective on a number of different issues and forever challenging me to think critically.
