First, I am so grateful to both Professor Martin and Professor Trychta for their friendship and wonderful advice. Each of them helped me immensely as I figured out which classes to take and how to pursue my legal career.
Second, my sweet children AJ, Lucia, and Felicity made life outside of law school fun. Being with them put the stress of law school in perspective, and I loved my study breaks when they would come into my home office to give me hugs and kisses. It was such a joy to spend time with them by playing games, building forts, reading books, cuddling at bedtime . . . and not thinking about law school.
Finally, I could not have survived law school without the love and support of my husband Andy. Because I left Wheeling early each morning and did not return until evening, he took our children to school, picked them up in the afternoon, made us dinner, and took care of almost all of the housework--all while he had a full-time job. He gave me the luxury of focusing on law school while he took care of everything else. I owe all of my law school success to him.
