Favorite law school memory
I don't have just one favorite memory. I have two: attending a beer festival (won at the PIA Auction) with Professor Mark Podvia and traveling to New Orleans for Tulane's Pro Football Negotiation Competition with Professor Anne Lofaso. The time that I got to spend with both of these amazing professors is something that I will never forget and will forever appreciate and cherish.
Inspiration
My family inspired me to go to law school. My parents' have always instilled their core values in me. Their inspiration, forgiveness, love, motivation, selflessness, and integrity inspire me to help others and to give back every moment of every day. My goal in life is to help others the way that they always have and going to law school presented me with that chance. Through law school and my law career, I hope to make at least half of the impression on the world that they have.
Special thanks
My success in law school was not accomplished on my own. There are a lot of people
to thank for my success.
First, I would like to thank my family for always pushing
me to be the best that I can be, for pushing me to fulfill my fullest potential
in life, for making me work for everything that I have to show me that nothing
in life comes easy, for teaching me to value every single thing in life, for comforting
me when I was stressed, for keeping my head on straight, and for loving me unconditionally.
My boyfriend for pushing me, for always being there for me, and for also comforting
me when I was stressed, for keeping my head on straight, and for loving me unconditionally.
My friends for helping me get through the past three years of law school, for being
there for me through the most stressful times, for pushing me to keep going when
things got tough, and for all of the amazing memories.
My late dog Paris for getting
me through one of the toughest semesters of finals.
My crew and boss at Wendys
for being my second family, for always being there for me, for all of the appreciation
and celebration over my accomplishments, for keeping me grounded, for giving me
an escape from the stress of law school, for making me appreciate everything and
everyone I have a little more, for working with my schedule, for checking in when
things got rough, and for never letting me lose myself or forget my core values.
All of my coworkers and supervisors at my summer internships and externships for
taking me under your wing, for helping me evolve into the young lawyer that I am,
for pushing me to be my best, for showing me the ropes of the legal world, and
for all of the love.
Lastly, I would like to thank all of my professors at WVU
Law. Without each and every professor, I would not be half of the student that
I am today. They all pushed me to my maximum potential while keeping a familial
relation with me. I would specifically like to thank Professor Mark Podvia and
Professor Anne Lofaso for not only being amazing professors but for also becoming
my mentor, for taking me under your wings, for being the two people that I could
come to when school and life got rough, for instilling core values in me, for listening
to me even when you were drowning in work, for helping turn my mistakes into lessons,
and for becoming my family away from home.
