Christian M. Capece was appointed as the sixth Federal Public Defender for the Southern District of West Virginia in November 2014. He previously worked as an associate at Kay Casto & Chaney, PLLC (2012-2014) in Charleston, West Virginia and served as an Assistant Federal Public Defender (2007-2012).
A former Marine, Mr. Capece also serves part-time in the West Virginia Air National Guard. He received his B.A. and his M.Ed. from The George Washington University and his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.
