CLASS OF 2016
BEFORE LAW SCHOOL …
Following graduation from Smith College, I spent nearly 15 years working with start-up and growth-stage technology companies in West Virginia and Washington, D.C. Additionally, I have been a stay-at-home mother, community volunteer, and Congressional staffer. My work has allowed me to serve in a variety of executive and management roles, focused on strategy, operations, and compliance.
WHY WVU LAW?
WVU Law was my choice because of its focus on teaching practice-ready skills and the existence of its Entrepreneurship and Innovation Law Clinic. Given my work experience, I wanted a law school that would assist me with quickly learning how to apply my legal education to the type of real-world problems that I saw working with early-stage companies.
