BEFORE LAW SCHOOL …
Before law school, I received my undergraduate degree from the WVU College of Business and Economics. After graduation I decided to enter the real world. I worked in retail management for five years. During that time, I knew I wanted to come back to school. After my dad passed away, my desire to continue my education grew, and I knew I didn’t want to wait any longer to pursue my legal career. Exactly one year later, in August of 2013, I started law school at WVU.
WHY WVU LAW?
I chose WVU Law for many reasons. Because I received my undergraduate degree here, I have always had a soft spot in my heart for Morgantown, and staying in the state allowed me to stay close to family and friends. I know several graduates from the college of law, and they all had wonderful things to say about their experiences at WVU. Not to mention, as an in-state student, the low tuition played a role in my decision.
LAW INTEREST
At this point, I’m still figuring out where my interests lie. I am seriously considering a career in Energy Law, and I know the program here at the College of Law is one of the best. However, I’m trying to keep my options open until I decide exactly what path I want to take.
IN 10 YEARS …
It’s sounds pretty simple, but in ten years, I hope to see myself as a successful attorney, a loving wife, and devoted mother.
OUTSIDE OF LAW SCHOOL …
Outside of law school, I enjoy surrounding myself with the people I love. Finding new restaurants, spending time with my fiancé, taking care of my cat, and catching up with old friends are just some of the things I like to do.
