The George R. Farmer Library is the largest public law library in the state, providing
access to a full complement of legal resources. The mission of the Library
is to support the teaching, research, and public service responsibilities of the
College of Law, as well as to serve the West Virginia practicing bar and the general
public at large.
Law Library Documents and Policies
Food and Drink Policy: Food is not allowed in the library. The student
lounge and lobby are available to use for snack breaks. Drinks in lidded containers
are permitted.
Mobile Phone Policy: Mobile phones should only be used in the stairwells
of the library and should be set to vibrate or silent mode.
Tobacco Policy: Tobacco use and vaping is not permitted in the Law Library nor anywhere on campus.
