After their last first final of the first semester, Rob asked Jessica out to celebrate. She said yes, and they have been inseparable ever since.
Who was the better law student? Jessica says Rob, and Rob says Jessica.
"We were both lucky to have great teachers and mentors and were both successful," Rob said.
Among their mentors, the Alsops give credit to professors Robert Lathrop, Gerry Ashdown and Vince Cardi.
The Alsops now live in Morgantown with their three daughters and enjoy nights around the kitchen island with their kids. Jessica is General Counsel at WVU Health System, and Rob is Vice President for Strategic Initiatives at WVU.
The couple credits their teamwork at home for helping them achieve success in their individual careers.
“Juggling family life and professional life will never be 50/50, so any given day, one of us will need to handle something more than the other and vice versa,” said Rob. “But if you approach life as a team, you’ll figure it out and be able to manage it all.”
