Financial Aid – Important Dates
March 1, 2008 – The results of the 2008-2009 FAFSA should be received by WVU for Scholarship Processing. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for the processing of the FAFSA by the Department of Education.
March 1, 2008 – Federal Work Study Deadline – Your FAFSA results and written request must be received by the Financial Aid Office for FWS consideration.
PROCESSING DATES
March 1, 2008 – WVU should receive your 2008-09 FAFSA results for timely processing.
June 1, 2008 – This is the latest you can submit your 2008-09 FAFSA so that the results are processed in time for the first fall disbursement.
July 2008 – The following must be done in order to have your financial aid processed and your aid disbursed.
- Accept your Financial Aid on the WVU Star system.
- Incoming First year students must complete an Entrance Interview.
- If you are notified by WVU, complete a Master Promissory Note.
August 1, 2008 – This is the last day you can update your local addresses with main campus to ensure your refund check is mailed to the appropriate place. All updates/changes must be made at Main Campus Admissions and Records.
