CLASS OF 2014
BLACK LAW STUDENT ASSOCIATION (VP)
CHRISTIAN LEGAL SOCIETY
BEFORE LAW SCHOOL …
I attended the University of South Carolina, earning a B.A. in criminal justice, and was a linebacker for the Gamecocks. After narrowly missing out on an NFL career, I worked in the South Carolina Attorney General’s office with one of the best gang prosecutors, T. DeWayne Pearson, now a nAssistant US Attorney. I loved working in my department and for the current SC Attorney General, Allen Wilson. After being disappointed a second time in the NFL combine in 2010, I devoted my time to figuring out my non-sport career. The entire office encouraged me to apply to law school, so I did.
WHY WVU LAW?
I wanted a new experience in a totally different region of the country. The staff treated all my questions via phone and email with the utmost courtesy, thoroughness, friendliness, and excitement. Twelve and a half hours away and without prior visitation, I felt confident making the decision to attendWVU Law.
LAW INTERESTS
Coal, oil and gas, immigration and litigation law.
IN 10 YEARS …
I hope to be making a significant spiritual and social difference in the life of someone as often as possible.
OUTSIDE OF LAW SCHOOL …
I enjoy spending time with my wife, playing with our 11 wek old, and playing guitar, computer and video games.
