BLACK LAW STUDENT ASSOCIATION
PUBLIC INTEREST ADVOCATES

BEFORE LAW SCHOOL …

I was a middle school science teacher. I earned my bachelor’s degree in sociology from UNC-Chapel Hill.

WHY WVU LAW?

I was influenced by the students, the faculty, and Dean McConnell. Among the schools that I visited, WVU was the best fit for me. The administration seemed genuinely interested in increasing the diversity of the school, and the students and faculty that I met seemed supportive and willing to help me succeed, which is not the culture in every law school.

LAW INTERESTS

Human Rights Law and International Law.

IN 10 YEARS …

I want to be mentoring future lawyers and making a difference as a human rights advocate.

OUTSIDE OF LAW SCHOOL …

Swimming!
