The Dean's Legal Enrichment Series
The Series consists primarily of lectures featuring prominent legal academics and practitioners, who will generally present short papers in their fields of expertise, followed by interactive question and answer discussions about the papers. Two appellate courts will be conducting business here at WVU Law during this academic year. The United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit will hear oral arguments in the Lugar Courtroom on the morning of October 4, 2012, while the West Virginia Supreme Court will hear arguments on the morning of March 5, 2013. As part of your introduction to our profession, you are required to attend these lectures and courtroom sessions.
Below is the schedule for the year. Lectures are scheduled for 12 noon in the Lugar Courtroom unless otherwise noted. Court generally lasts for two hours on the morning of the scheduled day. You are required to wear business attire on court days, but you may wear casual business or business attire for the lectures.
