Professor andré douglas pond cummings was a featured speaker on wednesday, january 18, 2012 for a national conference on sports and entertainment law. cummings delivered a talk entitled “The Importance of Diversity in Sports Leadership” and was telecast via conferencing to lawyers across the country. cummings based his remarks on his 2010 book “Reversing Field: Examining Commercialization, Labor, Gender and Race in 21st Century Sports Law” co-authored with WVU Law faculty member Professor Anne Lofaso. The seminar was sponsored by the Rossdale Group, and also featured Bernard Resnick and Thomas Dunlap discussing current issues in concert touring and copyright litigation in the entertainment industry.
