Casemaker
A searchable, full-text database providing access to cases, statutes, the State Constitution, court rules, and other research materials to the members of the West Virginia State Bar. Casemaker includes Federal information and State information from its thirty-three member states.
CCH Internet Research Network
This database provides access to the following products: Securities; Exchanges and SROs; Corporate Governance; Mergers and Aquisitions; International Business; Banking; Antitrust and Trade Regulation; Products Liability and Safety; Government Contracts; Intellectual Property, Computer and Internet Law; Federal Energy Guidelines; and Transportation Law. Electronic Databases Online
Various databases organized by subject and alphabetically by title allow access for faculty, staff, and students of West Virginia University. Off-campus/remote access is available through the WVU Databases gateway by a password that consists of your two digit date of birth and the last four digits of your WVU ID (your 700 number).
Environmental Law Reporter
ELR rovides access to information on environmental, toxic torts, natural resources, and land use. Visit the Law Library TWEN page or contact a Reference Librarian for a password.
Foreign Law Guide
The Foreign Law Guide provides access to current sources of codes and basic legislation in jurisdictions of the world. This work endeavors to provide the relevant information on sources of foreign law, including complete bibliographic citations to legislation, the existence of English translations whenever possible, indications of currentness of the legal materials listed, and, finally, selected references to secondary sources in English. Access is limited to College of Law computers in the Law Center.
HeinOnline
Touted as “A modern link to legal history,” HeinOnline contains multiple library collections, such as the Law Journal Library, Code of Federal Regulations, Federal Register Library, Manual of Patent Examining Procedure, Treaties and Agreements Library, U.S. Attorney General Opinions, U.S. Supreme Court Library—just to name a few. Most of these libraries contain information from the inception of a legal resource, some dating back to the early 1200s. All images in HeinOnLine represent the exact page image of the original materials, and multiple searching capabilities greatly enhance research. HeinOnline is now available campus-wide. Index to Legal Periodicals and Books
A bibliographic database that cites articles from legal periodicals (1980-current) and indexes law books (1993-current). Periodical coverage includes law reviews, bar association journals, university publications, yearbooks, institutes, and government publications. Access limited to faculty, staff, and students of WVU. IndexMaster
A compilation of indices and tables of contents from thousands of legal treatises. Searchable by keyword, title, author, or publisher. Access limited to College of Law computers in the Law Center. LegalTrac
A comprehensive index of legal publications, legal newspapers, and specialty law and bar association journals.
