Biographical Directory of Federal Judges
This database contains the information for all judges who have served on the U.S. District Courts, U.S. Circuit Courts, U.S. Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court since 1789.
Circuit Court Opinions
This site, maintained by Findlaw, offers a search of all federal circuit court decisions, or a search of individual Federal circuits, the D.C. circuit, or the U.S. Supreme Courts. Click here to go directly to the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit, the Northern District of West Virginia, or the Southern District of West Virginia.
Code of Federal Regulations (CFR)
This government site is searchable by keyword, citation, or you can browse CFR titles and/or volumes (1996-current). The LSA List of CFR Sections Affected is also available. There are links to other GPO Access databases, including the Federal Register.
Code of Federal Regulations (CFR)
This site, maintained by the Legal Information Institute at Cornell, provides an alternative search interface for the Code of Federal Regulations database at GPO. The full text of the CFR is searchable by citations and the CFR code section headings are searchable by keyword.

Congress.org provides information on Congressional members and their staff; Executive/Judicial Branches & Governors; Find Your Reps; Legislation; and a Scorecard from associations and advocacy groups on a set of issues and votes most important to that organization.
Court Rules, Forms and Dockets
A site maintained by the Law Library Resource Exchange (LLRX), includes links to over 700 sources for state and federal court rules, forms and dockets.
Docket Information
Legal Dockets Online provide access to federal, state and local court case information, along with legal news and court opinions, orders and decisions arranged by state. Some courts require a subscription to PACER, other courts are free.
Federal Courts Finder
A site maintained by the Emory School of Law that contains a U.S. map of circuit regions and the full text of opinions from all federal courts. Click here to go directly to the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit, the Northern District of West Virginia, or the Southern District of West Virginia.
Federal Register
A searchable, full text database of the Federal Register for 1994-current (vols. 59-current). This site is maintained by Government Printing Office (GPO).
Government Documents Center
Maintained by the University of Michigan, this site is a central reference and referral point for government information, including local, state, federal, foreign or international documents. The web pages are a reference and instructional tool for government, political science, statistical data, and news.
GPO Access
This official Government Printing office site includes links to the Federal Register, the Congressional Record, the Budget, etc.

United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit Opinions (1996-current)
This official court page allows the user to search for official court opinions issued from January 1, 1996 to the present. Cases can be accessed by Case Number or Case Name.
