Joint Degree Programs

The College of Law has joined with the College of Business and Economics and the Division of Public Administration to offer joint degree programs leading to a JD/EMBA or JD/MPA degree. These programs enable the student to combine valuable skills and to complete the two degrees in less time than if each were pursued independently. In order to obtain credit towards the dual degree, both programs must be completed. The College of Law currently enrolls about 15 students in joint degree programs.

Students interested in pursuing the joint degree programs must submit applications to both Colleges. Law students may begin a joint degree program no later than the last 28 hours of law school (generally, before the start of the third year of law school). Each College makes its own admission decisions. Each applicant is responsible for completing all standardized tests required for admission and for completing all requirements for graduation for each degree.

For further information on the JD/EMBA degree, contact Barton Cowan at the College of Law or Associate Director Elizabeth Vitullo at the College of Business and Economics.

For further information on the JD/MPA degree, contact Associate Professor John Taylor at the College or Professor Jerry Pops at the Division of Public Administration.
